The Colony Club is one of the gems in Detroit’s growing entertainment district. Commissioned in 1927 to be a seven-story club for women, it has survived and prospered despite Detroit’s hardships. The building has Georgian style red brick, limestone, and iron grill work. The elegance and style of the Club’s architecture is superb. To top it all off, the interior of the building is emphasized by the immaculate Louis XVI ballroom which is considered to be one Detroit’s finest.
